- Addendum: When The Nervous System Learns Suffering
A brief article on nociplastic pain and related patterns. Definitely read if you are a "highly sensitive person" or if the note on "higher-gain systems" from Session 2 caught your attention.
Schedule
This course took place between February 3 and March 10, 2026. A previous version was offered in October 2025 as a four-session class entitled The Wellbeing Toolkit.
Course Description
This course presents a coherent and actionable model of well-being that integrates cutting-edge understanding of the brain, millennia-old contemplative traditions, and modern therapeutic techniques.
Through this lens, we explored a wide range of approaches to enhancing our subjective experience - meditation, somatic work, breathwork, therapeutic modalities, movement practices, and more. We tried things out together, poked at what didn't make sense, shared what resonated, and helped each other navigate this space intelligently.
Each class included a lecture, some shared practice, and a discussion. There was also "homework" - one practice each week to try on your own time, taking no more than 30 minutes per week.
Your Instructor
In 2021, despite "doing well", I was suffering from multiple mental and physical issues that severely reduced my quality of life. Since then, I've spent well over a thousand hours learning and doing things to try to feel better. More than just raising my quality of life drastically, it's also been the adventure of a lifetime. Now I'm excited to share a few of the things that I've learned along the way. Professionally, I've worked as a software developer, teacher, and tutor.
